GLS EGO – EnGine for Optimization

Poliedra is designing and developing fo GLS Italy SpA the “EGO – EnGine for Optmization” software platform, aimed at best managing last mile logistics operations.

The platform, designed using a user-centered approach and tailored around customer’s needs, offers web services to support the decision on:

  • optimal delivery and pick-up areas, based on the analysis of the historical time series – Planning;
  • optimal shipment-vehicle assignment, both for deliveries and pick-ups – Matching;
  • optimal route, taking into account service constraints, vehicle capacity and time windows – Routing;

Poliedra will also rule and perform the field test of the EGO platform and the necessary training activities for drivers and distribution managers.
