P-IRIS
Policies to improve rural areas’ innovation systems by professionalizing networking and use of innovation tools
P-IRIS, co-financed by the Interreg Europe programme, aims at working on policies supporting innovation in rural areas in six European countries (Croatia, Finland, Italy, Norway, Slovenia, Spain). In each country, the project has identified a pilot area in a rural zone. By improving innovation policies and by mutual learning among partners, the objective of the project is to stimulate innovation in the main economic sectors of the pilot areas, in order to counter depopulation and the flight of younger generations.
Poliedra is the territorial partner in Lombardy (Italy). The regional government provided a letter of support signed by the Managing Authority of ERDF ROP (Axes 1, 3 and 6). Poliedra will organize all local and regional working groups in the Valcamonica area and will participate in drafting a regional Action Plan on innovation in non-urban areas.
